Waste management within the organization from employees’ disposal behavior is one of the key challenges, especially waste segregation that is still incorrect or inconsistent, which may cause waste that can be reused to be disposed of together, resulting in increased waste volume and reduced efficiency in resource utilization.
However, such challenges are considered opportunities to further develop systematic waste management approaches, such as promoting waste segregation from the source, improving waste disposal points to be clearly defined, and creating awareness among employees regarding proper waste segregation, in order to increase reuse and recycling rates.
This approach helps reduce the amount of waste that must be disposed of, reduce environmental impacts, and promote the most efficient use of resources, as well as create a sustainable organizational culture of environmental responsibility, in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
